- Be a good role model. Your dog follows how you say things, not what you say. Stay calm, confident and in control of your emotions.
- Reward, reward, reward! If you dog is being good and not barking, give him a treat or tons of praise. Don't be so caught up in stopping negative behaviors that you forget to increase positive behaviors.
- Give your four legged friend plenty of things to do. Exercise you pooch, give chew toys, play games. Bored dogs are barky dogs.
